BTK USA F8X Dual Differential Mount
The factory F8X differential is designed with provisions for two rear mounting points, yet BMW chose to utilize only a single rear differential bushing. Under hard acceleration, aggressive launches, and high horsepower applications, this allows the differential to twist within the subframe, increasing driveline movement, wheel hop, and unnecessary stress on the factory mounting components.
The BTK Dual Differential Mount was engineered to unlock the second factory mounting location, transforming the rear differential into a true dual-supported design. By distributing drivetrain loads across two rear mounting points instead of one, differential deflection is significantly reduced, resulting in a more planted rear end, improved power transfer, and increased confidence under heavy acceleration.
Machined in the USA from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum, every mount is CNC machined for exceptional precision before receiving a durable Type III hard anodized finish for maximum wear and corrosion resistance. Every detail was designed to withstand the abuse of high-power street cars, drag builds, and dedicated track vehicles alike.
