BTKUSA BMW E36 Medium Case Billet Differential Brace

The factory BMW E36 medium case differential is known for one major weakness: its cast aluminum mounting ears. Under increased torque and aggressive driving conditions, these mounting points can crack or completely break, often leaving owners with no choice but to replace the entire differential housing.

BTKUSA developed our Billet Differential Brace to provide a stronger, more permanent solution without requiring an entirely new housing.

Unlike conventional sheet metal reinforcement braces that offer limited support against rotational forces, our billet design is engineered to better manage drivetrain torque and reinforce the differential mounting structure under high loads.

Precision machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and equipped with 17-4 stainless steel inserts, this brace provides a rigid, durable mounting solution built for high-horsepower street, track, and motorsport applications.

Our design also retains factory functionality, including OEM sway bar mounting locations, wheel speed sensor clearance, and access to the differential drain and fill ports.

Important Installation Disclaimer

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A DIRECT BOLT-ON. MODIFICATION OF THE DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING IS REQUIRED.

This brace is specifically designed to repair and reinforce E36 medium case differential housings with broken mounting ears. The damaged mounting areas must be properly machined or prepared to create flat mounting surfaces before installing the brace.

The included 90A polyurethane bushings are specifically designed for this application and are not interchangeable with OEM bushings.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.
